There Is Still Hope

Well, the campaigns are over and President Obama is back in the White House for another four years.

Devastated?

We’re not. Why, you ask?

Well, if you’ve listened to the show for the last few years, we’ve been perfectly consistent that:

  1. DC will NEVER fix DC
  2. It’s a We the People moment in history
  3. We the People operating through our States hold ALL the power

And we maintain that position today.

Our hope was never in Romney winning or Obama losing, neither of these outcomes were going to significantly arrest the trajectory we’re currently on and have been on for generations. We continue to work to ignite a passion in people to take back what they’ve intentionally (or unintentionally) surrendered to DC. This remains the only solution worthy of engaging. It’s not about targetting 2014 or 2016 for a Republican “take over” or getting “new/good” people in DC to save us.

That effort will be fruitless and futile if nothing more than for the reason of time.  Here’s a quick visual to summarize the point:

Getting “new/good” people in DC won’t save us if we’ve already plunged off the cliff that we’re staring over right now!

State-based solutions are the only strategy in the next 2-6ish years with the potential to keep us from going off the cliff. If they don’t occur..it’s game over. You can’t get enough “new/good” people into DC fast enough and with enough power/clout to make the required difference in 2-6ish years. It’s not mathematically possible.

We know this is a tough pill to swallow…we fully recognize that. But it’s URGENT and we’re out of time to mince words.

There is but one goal that is worthy of spending our limited time and resources at this 11th hour: Shove the so-called federal government back into the constitutional box via State Based Solutions. Otherwise it’s separation and/or full-on tyranny just around the bend. There is very LITTLE time left.

The only solutions to fix our mess can come from the (people of the) states through our state governments via:

  1. Article V (State-called)
  2. Nullification / Tenth Amendment legislation
  3. Interposition (e.g. County Sheriff, etc.)

State-based solutions don’t refer to using our state governments to fix problems in our states (this seems to be a common misconception); it is about using jealousy between governments. The only way to bind the DC’vers down by the “chains of the constitution” is by using our state governments to assert their retained power that the so-called federal government has threatened and usurped over generations!

The outcome of these state-based solutions is the corralling of the federal gov’t back into its constitutional pen. This pen and balance of powers are defined well in Federalist 45:

“The powers delegated by the proposed Constitution to the federal government, are few and defined. Those which are to remain in the State governments are numerous and indefinite. The former will be exercised principally on external objects, as war, peace, negotiation, and foreign commerce; with which last the power of taxation will, for the most part, be connected. The powers reserved to the several States will extend to all the objects which, in the ordinary course of affairs, concern the lives, liberties, and properties of the people, and the internal order, improvement, and prosperity of the State.”

Federalism is the only solution that accounts for the needs (read self-determination) of the diverse people in our Union (remember, we’re a Union of States). Allowing this diversity to flourish is good and integral to our survival.

Each of us needs to do our part, not assume someone else will. Each of us needs to commit to becoming evangelists for State Based Solutions and win the hearts and minds of around us (and encourage them to do the same!).

As we’ve said numerous times, the mountain is high, we know that..but we cannot quit.  Change strategy? Yes! Give up? No! The Founders in 1775 saw the same mountain and they did not shrink back. We can’t either.

We must embrace the reality that the so-called federal government is simply too big and it’s usurped power must be decentralized and deconstructed. Join us and many others around the Union and help implement State Based Solutions to push back on the DC’vers in Washington!
