And why is that? Because we keep succumbing to our fear and continue to vote in evil! This isn’t rocket-science amigos.
Until we break out of the status quo cage, we’re destined to continue on the path that will lead us off the cliff, which happens to be right in front of us.
We can scare ourselves into more/different evil or we can say “enough is enough” and choose principled people to represent us within the constitutional boundaries that they’ve been delegated. This is your choice…it starts with you.
It is vital that we vote our conscience and not submit to the lesser of two evils that the parties and pundits shame us into doing – that only perpetuates the status quo giving us a different evil every cycle. Expecting to fix DC with a different crop of DC’vers is folly. That ship has sailed. DC will NEVER fix DC.
Regardless of who wins the presidential election in November, we’re going to get rolled….it’s only a question of how (don’t despair, there are viable solutions, but they aren’t linear…keep reading).
I have well-grounded reason to be alarmed by what Romney/Ryan will deliver (/not stop), just as I do for the current administration. If someone does not share these concerns, I would humbly proffer that they know little about the true nature of the system. Further, those who vote out of fear (from either “side”) are simply perpetuating the status quo that will cripple our kids’ future. This group of people are being fooled into something of a Hobsons-Choice where the horses will not deliver what’s being promised, no matter how much people want to believe they will.
Take one topic alone as example: the budget/deficit. The next president and congress will continue the reckless path that we’re on; they have little choice if they are to make an attempt to stay in power (and make an attempt they will). Please take five minutes to watch this video about the nightmare that is the Federal budget. It’s excruciatingly clear that we’re facing an economic disaster.
Do you still think Romney plans to do anything about this economic disaster? Why would you? He himself has told us that he won’t make any radical changes to the so-called federal budget. Translation – “I will continue to allow/help the train careen off the cliff.”
Further, regardless of who is sitting in the oval office next year, by the time we reach the next presidential election, we’ll have ~$22 Trillion in Debt and a Debt-to-GDP ratio of ~140%. If these numbers don’t mean much to you, it essentially means that we have little time and that we (and our posterity) are hosed.
But there are viable solutions…but it doesn’t include anything emanating from Washington DC! Before implementing the solutions, it’s imperative that we recognize that DC will never fix DC…NEVER! [what we yell into the microphones every Saturday]
This is a tough pill to swallow…I fully recognize that. But it’s URGENT and we’re out of time to mince words.
There is but one goal that is worthy of spending our limited time and resources at this 11th hour: Shove the so-called federal government back into the constitutional box via state-based solutions. Otherwise it’s separation and/or full-on tyranny just around the bend. There is very LITTLE time left.
The only solutions to fix our mess can come from the (people of the) states through our state governments via:
- Article V (State-called)
- Nullification / Tenth Amendment legislation
- Interposition (e.g. County Sheriff, etc.)
State-based solutions don’t refer to using our state governments to fix problems in our states (this seems to be a common misconception); it is about using jealousy between governments. The only way to bind the DC’vers down by the chains of the Constitution is by using our state governments to assert their retained power that the so-called federal government has threatened and usurped over generations!
The outcome of these state-based solutions is the corralling of the federal gov’t back into its constitutional pen. This pen and balance of powers are defined well in Federalist 45:
“The powers delegated by the proposed Constitution to the federal government, are few and defined. Those which are to remain in the State governments are numerous and indefinite. The former will be exercised principally on external objects, as war, peace, negotiation, and foreign commerce; with which last the power of taxation will, for the most part, be connected. The powers reserved to the several States will extend to all the objects which, in the ordinary course of affairs, concern the lives, liberties, and properties of the people, and the internal order, improvement, and prosperity of the State.”
Federalism is the only solution that accounts for the needs (read self-determination) of the diverse people in our Union (remember, we’re a Union of States). Allowing this diversity to flourish is good and integral to our survival.
If these solutions fail….there is only one thing left for a free people to do (other than just succumbing to a fully tyrannical central government).
That one thing left is……..SEPARATION. If that scares and/or makes one uncomfortable, good. That’s where we are, but most people are stuck in their Normalcy Bias and haven’t paid enough attention to what’s actually occurring under their noses, which is not good and quickly getting much worse.
The financial situation and other factors are close to forcing the hand of governments, the people, and the markets to dramatically change course. This could happen overnight or it could linger for years. But one thing is certain, if we continue down this path, we’re digging a deeper and deeper hole for us and our posterity; one that will surely bring about hardcore tyranny. If you don’t think it could happen here, think again. People do desperate things in desperate times…and desperate times are on their way.
So, we can scare ourselves into more/different evil or we can say “enough is enough” and choose principled people to represent us within the constitutional boundaries that they’ve been delegated as well as spend our limited time advancing viable state-based solutions. This is your choice and it starts with you.
